On a beautiful Saturday in July, 60-70 people attended Community Day for Baltimore's Barclay-Midway-Old Goucher neighborhood. The attendees were both renters and homeowners living in the Barclay community. People ate and interacted. Children played games, painted pictures, and won Tug-O-War against the adults.
The day also included blood pressure screenings, healthy dieting tips, and other general health information provided by the Notre Dame of Maryland University's School of Pharmacy. Overall, it was a wonderful event where neighbors met neighbors and even more residents were introduced to the programs and services offered at the Nate Tatum Community Center.
Community Day received vital support from Central Baltimore Partnership, Thrivent Financial, Neighborhood Associates Corporation, Telesis Corporation, D&G Food Stores, Giant Food, and Sam's Club.
