ABOUT CAMP
The Makers' Extreme STEAM Virtual Summer Camp is funded by Learn 24. It'sa FREE summer learning program for to K-8 DC students living in Marshall Heights, Carver-Langston, and Kenilworth-Parkside. The 5-week in-person summer camp blends STEM, art, socio-emotional skills, reading, critical thinking, and team-building through live virtual sessions, enriching interactive projects, and in-person field trips.

We can welcome 120 K-8 students.

Camp runs from July 6-August, 2021.

Camp meets Mon.-Thur. 9 AM-3 PM.

We historically teach students from the following communities, neighborhoods, and schools:

Communities: Bass Circle, Carver Terrace, Paradise at Parkside, Mayfair.

EXPERIENCED TEACHERS

Learning activities led by DC K-8 teachers, certified coaches, experienced tutors.

Trained MBSYEP Camp Counselors are teachers' aids and mentors.
MEALS & TECH SUPPORT

Summer meals are provided free to all campers through our partnerships with DC providers.

Free loaner tablets are available to enrolled campers who do not have a computing device.
SAFETY & WELLBEING

We're committed to a welcoming and safe learning environment for campers to thrive in.

All camp personnel pass background checks mandated by DC and cleared by Learn 24.

MANDT & CPR certified staff present at all times for virtual and in-person activities.
