Neighborhood Associates collects two kinds of information from visitors to our The Forum: (i) information we collect when you visit our website and (ii) information we collect when you register to participate in our online community.
A. INFORMATION WE COLLECT WHEN YOU VISIT THE WEBSITE
If you are visiting The Forum to browse through the site and read forum posts, we may collect and store information related to The Forum pages you visit.
B. INFORMATION WE COLLECT WHEN YOU REGISTER
If you choose to register to participate in The Forum, you will be required to submit your full name, institutional affiliation, email address, and phone number. We also may collect your IP address.
C. NO INFORMATION FROM CHILDREN
No part of The Forum is directed to children under the age of 18, and Neighborhood Associates does not knowingly collect or maintain PII from children under the age of 18.
IV. WHY WE COLLECT THIS INFORMATION
Neighborhood Associates collects PII from you for several reasons:
To identify you by name and institutional affiliation when you post a message in The Forum;
To enable us to contact you when necessary in connection with questions or comments you may have posted in The Forum;
To enable us to log and prosecute abuse of this policy, The Forum Terms of Use, or any other relevant policy.
V. WHAT THIRD PARTIES, IF ANY, IS THE DATA SHARED WITH
Unless otherwise specified herein, Neighborhood Associates will not give, sell or provide access to your personal information to any company, individual, or organization for its use in marketing, commercial solicitation, or other promotional purposes.
When you post in The Forum, your full name and institutional affiliation, as well as the content of your post, will be shared with the community. By posting in The Forum, you are granting consent for this information to be shared publicly on the internet. We will not share your email address or telephone number publicly with your forum post, but members of the community who already possess your contact information may contact you privately with regard to a particular forum post.
In order to operate The Forum, Neighborhood Associates may share your personal information with third party contractors. These third parties will be contractually required to protect your personal information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.
Neighborhood Associates also may share your personal information with forum moderators. These moderators are Neighborhood Associates staff who oversee the communication activity and organization of The Forum. Such moderators may use your personal information to contact you privately regarding an inquiry or comment you may have posted in The Forum.
Neighborhood Associates will not share the information you give us with a government agency except as required by court order or other government demand that has the force of law, or as otherwise required by applicable law.

Neighborhood Associates enables the password you input to be encrypted when in route between your browser and the Neighborhood Associates server(s) and when in route between the Neighborhood Associates server(s) and some other browser or server. VII. MUTUAL OBLIGATION TO PROTECT PRIVACY
To access The Forum, users must input their credentials. For security reasons, your password must not be disclosed to any other party. Users acknowledge that disclosing passwords to others may result in the temporary or permanent termination of their rights to use The Forum. The misuse of passwords or misrepresentation of identity by use of another's password may compromise the security of the service, and would allow Neighborhood Associates to enforce its rights under the Terms of Use. Neighborhood Associates shall not be responsible for any damages incurred as a result of unauthorized use of your password and hereby expressly disclaim all responsibility for any such damages.
